Many thanks to The Local Electrician team who were all courteous, considerate and competent sparkies. Working in teams of two over 3 consecutive days they solved problems, installed new meters and re-cabled much of our double storey, double brick home in Earlwood. Built in 1939 it provided challenges but the team remained unfazed and got the job done with a smile and pats for our dogs. Special thanks to Dylan, Nick, John and Justin for leading the way. They pointed out some safety issues at the switchboard and even asked to call a family member to discuss the findings and walk through some suggested solutions. These guys are the best.!We has a fuse fail and needed quick help. We called three companies for their advertised emergency service - two didn’t answer and one said he had no one availableThese guys answered out of hours on a Sunday and had Nick arrive first thing in the morning to patch the connection and a then team led by Reggie returned the next morning to replace the board causing the fault all within a couple of hours and in the rain and a great fair price for the hustle and expertise.Can’t beat the service and the reliability.Thanks againRich

What are the Similarities and Differences Between Single Phase and Three Phase Power?

Do I Need 3 Phase Power Over Single Phase Power?
Most residential homes will be able to run effectively on single phase power but there are many reasons why upgrading to 3 phase power is advised. When additional electrical systems will be added into the home, such as smart home technologies, air conditioners and electric hot water systems, then the three phase power will be able to meet the demands for all these systems. A single phase connection will still provide adequate electrical power but a three phase power system does it more reliably and efficiently.
How Much Does it Cost to Convert From Single Phase to Three Phase?
The cost to upgrade from single phase to three phase power depends on many different factors. How easy it is to run the three phase power connection to the home will influence the cost where the easier it is the less labour is needed to accommodate for the upgrade. Other factors, including adding a private power pole, upgrading the meter box, if needing to excavate for underground service lines and if vegetation trimming is needed, will influence how much it costs to upgrade to three phase power.

Many thanks to The Local Electrician team who were all courteous, considerate and competent sparkies. Working in teams of two over 3 consecutive days they solved problems, installed new meters and re-cabled much of our double storey, double brick home in Earlwood. Built in 1939 it provided challenges but the team remained unfazed and got the job done with a smile and pats for our dogs. Special thanks to Dylan, Nick, John and Justin for leading the way. She called the local electrician, and Dylan came out and found the fault within minutes, leaving my mother very pleased. They pointed out some safety issues at the switchboard and even asked to call a family member to discuss the findings and walk through some suggested solutions. My mother hasn't been doing too well lately, and I really appreciate that they called me to discuss the options. These guys are the best.!We has a fuse fail and needed quick help.
